NARA's Pacific Region
in San Bruno has investigation case files for the INS district
office in San Francisco, 1884-1955, and the INS district office in Honolulu, 1903-1955.
Nearly 250,000 case files are held in San Bruno, where they take up approximately
2,300 cubic feet of storage space.

1903-1952.
From the San Francisco District Office of the Immigration and Naturalization Service:
Chinese exclusion list, an index to some 66,000 "Chinese exclusion" case files from
1884-1938. There are many thousands more case files for the period 1921-1955 which
are gradually being indexed by NARA volunteers and students. To volunteer your assistance,
